We have been getting on some nice CATS on jugs on G-VILLE at town creek and short creek they have been about a 10 LB Avg.

Sounds like you have been doing better than me,,I put three in the boat all weekend and never pulled one in on a Jug,,I may head down to Mink Creek and try tonight if things work out.

We pulled 2 that were about 5 to 6 LBs sunday night! :sad2:

Hi, I'm new to the forum. The wife and I fished Guntersville last night near the ball fields at the Hwy. 69 causeway. We ended up with 4 ranging between 3 and 5 lbs. I'm always looking for fishing buddies, maybe we'll meet up at the lake sometime and swap lies.:lol:

Fished last night at the beach area between the Cherokee School Road and Hwy. 69. I got skunked. The wife caught 2. One 2lbs, and one 6lbs. I finally was able to snag a drum in the eye. I was getting lots of bites, but just couldn't get a hook set on anything.

Sharpen those hooks. Let the fish set the hook for you.

They was brand new circle hooks. Straight out of the package. When it got me in the finger and made me yelp in pain, I figured it was sharp enough...:lol:

Only found two myself. They were decent though, 5 or 6 lbs apiece. Only got to go a while late Sunday afternoon. This weekend looks like a bust for me too. Hate when work gets in the way of fishin'!
