I know that this is the fishing section but I figured I'd get more exposure by posting here.
Has anyone heard anything about new primitive weapon laws allowing single shot, centerfire rifles during primitive weapon season? Mississippi passed a law last year allowing pre-1900 replicas of single shot, exposed hammer, centerfire rifles of 35 caliber or larger. The 45-70 in certain model rifles was a legal firearm during primitive weapon season in MS. I have been told that Louisiana has a similar proposal on the Governor's desk at this time awaiting approval. Does anyone have any information on this? If so, could you please post sources?
I hope it doesn't happen...
Thanks for any input!
