Pre-Spawn at Coralville Lake

This last week, I've boated several big males that were jet black in color. Another friend caught a few of these males too. One of his was marked up already from getting his nest ready. Could be some pretty good fishing near walls or cut banks in the coming few weeks.

Hi B. I do read your reports. I haven't caught any of the swollen heads yet but I am sure I will soon. Fishin has been pretty decent over by DM so far.

Mike, i love to troll / drift for cats thanks to a lot of your advice... However, in the next couple/few weeks, nothing is better than bobber fishin. Get your poles out of the rod holders, tie on the slip floats and get ready for some bobbers getting shot out of a cannon. to me , there is nothing more exciting. God bless the catfish once again.
