Montrose power plant lake?

Saw a mention of the lake at La Cygne KS over under the Kansas forums - Anyone here fish Montrose lake? Any tips? Ain't never been there but they tell me it's nice...

I fish it all the time after waterfowl season is over ,you are not allowed to fish during that, in the witer on the north side of the lake you can park and walk to the warm water discharge,best time to catch a big flathead ,last year i took the temp it was snowinng , and the temp in the water was60

Can you take a boat on the lake or is it shore fishing only? Motor restrictions?
