I went out and took a young man with me that was bank fishing and not doing so well. We wound up with 14 keepers that were just good eater size. That was three days ago and then I went out yesterday evening for a while and got 7 more. All were taken on chicken livers Schoe

Yesterday, Steve Clark, a BOC member and myself caught two nice Flats off live bluegills and seven nice channels on chicken livers plus a bunch of small fiddlers. The keeper channels were actually caught between 10:00 A.M. and 1:00 P.M.

Is steve signed up on this site - don't see him posting?

Where were you fishing - down by the Miss. or up north?

Schoe

I think Steve is pretty busy with work and family. I will be talking to him soon and will ask if he has signed up on the new site yet. Wait till he retires he won't have time for nothing. I really don't know how I found time to work before I retired. Schoe

I baited 10 bank poles last night with 4-5 inch bullheads with no results and will give them one more try tomorrow night as we had some foul weather set in this evening. If they don't work this time it's back to the Bluegills. Schoe

Due to the passing of my father in law I didn't and won't be fishing for a couple more days or so. He was a good man and will be missed very much.
He loved to fish and I wish I could have taken him more.

Yes guys the back yard is OK, but the beds in the basement work better.

I just got home from a two week deployment to New Orleans. I am looking forward to getting back on the water. The water is so low it is sick. I'll let you know how things are going up north. For the brother from WI, just a few miles into IL is Rockton, we have a lowhead damn that is great for wading.
