Out of Monroe, I'd hit Brest Bay early Spring in 4-10 FOW using cut sheepshead drum and sucker meat cut in strips. Put it on a small hook- REALLY SMALL.... like a #4. Tie on a bobber and take up your anchor and drift it with the bobber.

You will have luck that way, and you'll also get some nice pike out of the deal.

I havent fished Brest Bay myself but have heard about it from other cat guys.

Try PM-ing Vic Brown, (dreamcatcher) the Mod. He lives in that area and may have insight that I dont.
