The U of I thing gets under my skin. Not because of my haritage so much but because you can't do anything that might offend someone. You can't smoke any where but you can drink anywhere and girls and women can kill their unborn babies. etc. etc....
I don't know if you heard about it but a town in Texas (called White City) is being told they have to change their name. As for me if they have to change their name then I don't want to hear about China Town and so on.
