OK I am graphing fish but they are not showing up on my screen like i think they should. I am not seeing Arch's, I am seeing small lines and mostly small squares or blocks. I thought they would look bigger on the graph. I tried the zoom in button and I lost the total view of the bottom. I know they were good size fish because we were snagging and catching Asian Carp in the twenty pound range. I wish I had some screen pics to post it is hard to explain. I did pivot the sensor up and down and it didn't seem to make any difference. Thanks for any advice. Rob

Did you check the Manual for tranducer positioning?...clean it with Dawn dish soap....is it a dual freq transducer by chance?...And about the only other thing i can think of is sensitivity and chart speed settings.

Rob, as mentioned, you have to be moving to get arches, and the transducer should be as close as possible to horizontal when the boat is moving. Best speed for arches is usually 3-8 mph, ~6 mph works good for me. What you are seeing could just be noise. Try adjusting your sensitivity settings and see if it clears up any. If the Missouri River was as muddy and full of junk as I suspect, you weren't graphing fish - you were graphing all the debris in the water.

On the Big Muddy, bring your sensitivity back to around 55 or 60 and you'll probably start to see better results. But as long as it's really dirty, your graph is mostly useless.

Find a lake somewhere that you can test the unit on and you'll find that it works a whole lot better.
