Apalachicola River, Marianna, Fl

I'm headed up there (Marianna) for a few days with a canoe--any where on the Appalachicola to safely park and put in my canoe--lots of friggin huge alligators right below the dam, scared of that area! Or any other suggestions for catfishing in that area?

Wish I could help you, but never fished that area.I know what you are saying about dem Gators, we have several in this area that will go 10 to 13 feet. Good luck and have a safe trip.
