pond fishing tips

I live in the N.E. panhandle. Me and my buddy pond fish most of the year and are looking for tips. It is cold now and we need help dedciding hook size, and bait types :cool: :eek:

I always prefer cut baits in cold water, shad if you can get it..go with light line and small hooks to get the finicky eaters.

:confused: your best bet this time of year is a slow down, the fish this time of year are getn cold try a small 4 to 5 in geeen or brown stick worm, i would also try a small firetiger jerk bait suspending, depending on the clairety of the water
