Bayou black jugging trip

Went jugging in the dead end canals in Bayou Black on Tuesday. With 20 jugs using gizzards we caught 2 blue 5-8lbs and 2 bullheads around 3lbs. Had a good time and it was amazing how many gators were out sunning themselves. Going to go perch jerking this weekend, so hopefully I will have some good bait for next week.

Sounds like you had a good time. Did you have the jugs out overnight or just during the day?

We put them out at 8AM and checked them every hour until 2PM. We would leave them in one location for a couple of hours then move to a different part of the canal.
