Kiamichi River

Anyone have any iformation on the Kiamichi River above Hugo!Maybe have fish it?

Fish in the Kiamichi? Does a bear use the restroom in the woods? The Kiamichi almost single handily stocked Hugo reservoir. I think it has everything imaginable in it, including a few skeletons. LOL

The Kaimichi River is the best fishery in Oklahoma bar none. It is underfished simply due to access problems. The river above Hugo Lake is chock full of big flathead and channelcat while the river below the Hugo Lake Dam is the only place in Oklahoma that I was ever spooled... twice.

The fish get big and strong fighting the current. I like to launch my boat from the highway 3 crossing.

Hey AWSHUCKS- You are letting the cat out of the bag......so to speak. There are several launch sites on the river you just need to know where, some are on private land. I fish Kiamich frequently, some nice blues are there too.
