This story was in the Hutch paper today, my mom called and told me about it. I know one of the guys from Hays, and he is about as serious of a biologist as it gets, so I know he would not make something like this up.

Besides the heldermites and snakes that is why I wear shoes in the river. You have to remember how ferocious and tuff flathead are. If they have something drop close to them and it excites them there instinct is kind of like durring spawn when they will chomp down on anything that gets close to the nest.
