I think my depth finder is broken

I took my boat out this last weekend and I leaned over to flip on my depth finder and I started going and I watched it when I got into deeper water and It said I was only in a foot of water. But I could not touch the bottom with my oar. I tried turning it off and on but it still did not work. It is a Humming Bird model 252c i think. Any Ideas of What might be wrong with it?

Its a Hummingbird is whats wrong with it .:big_smile: :lol: :ooooh: Sounds like your transducer is shot if all other things on it work.Is the only problem the depth reading,if so check the transducer.:smile2:

Also make sure the transducer didn't get knocked the wrong way or even off.

An ol rat might of crawled up in the boat to winter and feasted on the transducer cable. Seen it happen.
