Kaskaskia Question

I am considering buying an Xpress 1652 with a 25 HP motor. I've never been on the Kaskaskia and don't know what kind of current there is from time to time. Will the 25 HP be enough to push 2 of us between Evansville and New Athens without wishing I had spent more $$ on a bigger motor?

I've used a 9.9 merc. on my 14' jon boat never had any problems.

I know I'm upstream from you on the Kaskaskia, but we've always got around pretty good using anything from a 9.9 to a 40 horse motor on our boats.

It seems that no matter what size you have, you always want something bigger, boat or motor. Good luck in your fishing endeavors.
