Clifford, I don't live in Sreveport but my brother did till he moved to Marshall, Texas. I have drifted Cross Lake with him many times. There is Island with a log cabin on it, (use to be anyway) I havent been there is several years. if you start about 100 yards stright east of that Island, we always caught the wind right and drifted to the North. there was a deep wide hole just east and north of that Island. All the times we fished it we never failed to catch a mess of channel. Used large minnows for bait. Good fighin..

I was borned and raised at Start,Louisiana, but I have never fished that area of the state. I fished the rivers,lakes,ponds and steams around Rayville,monroe and Start.

Any good catfish tips for the monroe area. I am a native Monroe-ian living in Atlanta now. But my father in law lets me use his boat for a week each summer for my vacation. I usually fish Cheniere and sometimes darbonne bayou over by the old JoeBobs...
