Left the camera out for 2 days on this feeder, think it set a record for the number of pictures taken for me, had 241 the first 24 hours, about normal, but had 465 the second day. At least got a few day pictures.

what are you feeding the deer? i usually feed with deer corn. i dont have feeders i just throw corn out once a week.

I have 4 feeders out, I fill them everyday while feeding cattle, the deer and the cows get the same feed, its a 16% protein feed, mostly corn, corn gluten pellets, cottonseed meal, soy hulls and a mineral pack.

I plant about a acre of maxium biologic every spring for the past 3 years you wouldnt beleve the deer it brings in they really like it alot makes them pretty predictable in early season bow hunting helps give you that extra edge. keith

I had a dairy farm for 30 years, as long as we were milking we planter 250 to 300 acres of wheat every fall for fall thru spring grazing and silage, didn't have to have food plots then.There were also 5 other dairies within 2 miles that did the same, now all the dairies around me are gone . We sold our milk cows 4 years ago, so now we plant blackeyed peas and soybeans in the summer and wheat, ryegrass, elbon rye ,oats, vetch and clover in the fall. I like to plant a little of everything so something will do well, some years one thing does good, the next something else does better .This far south the wheat, oats or ryegrass will grow from the middle of Sept until the middle to late May. My feeders sit in the edges of the plots. The only trouble we have with the peas and beans is if we don't plant at least 3 ot 4 acres in each plot the deer will eat them into the ground before they can mature.

Hey Sam, thanks for the pictures I really enjoy them. Groceries are hard to come by this time of the year and if the deer could talk they would be saying thanks too.:smile2:

Thanks again, Sam. I like those daytime photos, where you can see that pretty hill in the background. I agree; I'm sure those deer sure appreciate all those good groceries. It sure is keeping them pretty & healthy looking.
