This set is from the feeder that was behind my house, but I had to move it when I turned the cows into that pasture. So I moved it just over a1/4 of a mile east to a food plot. Wish the camera had been pointed a little to tthe right in the first picture so it would have got both deer in it.

Sam. What is the average field dressed deer weight down your way? Do they equal south Mo. deer?

According to Arkansas Deer, a book published by G&F, data collected from harvested deer show Arkansas deer have a shoulder height of 2 to 3.5 feet with our bucks live weight average being about 150 pounds while our doe live weight average is around 100 pounds. Very little (none around my neck of the woods) corn or alfalfa in Arkansas.

What kind of feed are you putting in your feeders? I always just use corn with apple flavoring but it is getting expensive. The deer on my land are eating about 300# a week and probally more if i would put it out.We have had so much ice i don't think they can find anything else to eat.Its supposed to warm up next week so hopefully things will thaw out.
