Does anybody fish the licking river? If so what works best for you for channels and flats?

I fish there now and then. I fish where they licking runs into the Ohio and i have good luck with minnows, cutbait and chicken liver. For the flatty's though i use live bait. Another thing that worked really well last time i tried it was french fries from White Castle for the channels. I meet this older man fishing one time and he recommended them so i tried it and it worked well. The man told me to use White Castle fries because of the certain animal fats they use to fry them with, causing them to be more attractive than other restaurant fries, Funny huh.

Aaron, I've never fished the Licking River, but I bet it would be an interesting drift fishing trip from the spillway at Cave Run on down (if it's navigable up there).

Matthew, I just heard about the french fries for bait here http://www.catfish1.com/forums/showthread.php?t=36461 the other day.
