I only caught a 7 lb. the end of last year, but there are parts of the river that has yeilded 63, and a 55 lb. blues.

The Palm Beach Canal has been producing large amounts of large Channels for me lately, a 16lb'er, 11lb'er, 20lb'er & my PB 29-7/8lb'er, that Im waiting to post the pics, once I get my friend' digi camera card. I've caught over 100 cats in the last 1-1/2 mos there.

The St. Lucie Canal around Port Mayaca has produced numerous 3-5 Lb'ers recently but my boat's been broke down so I haven't been going there:sad2:

elliot I fish around the st. lucie locks to port mayaca lock. also fish behind j&s fish camp.never went to west palm canal.mite try it some time.do you fish at nite or day. i am thinking of staying at one of the camp grounds at the locks.if you would like to get together i have a 18 ft carolina skiff rigged for catfishing.

I fish ALL the places you are talking about, you'll probably recognize by boat when you see it. It's BRIGHT yellow, 20' Southern Skimmer, similar to a Carolina skiff with a "t" top & says "Get-ur-Done" on the side.

I fish Both day & night 'pending on when the bite's 'posed to be
