Hi. Welcome to the group. There's a few of us from NW Louisiana here. Haven't met many of them but they seem to be a good group.

I fish on Lake Bisteneau, Dorcheat Bayou just north of the lake around Morgan's launch, Lake Claiborne sometimes and I want to learn the Red river.
This Saturday, my father and I are going to Dorcheat and put out a trot line and some yo-yos.
Where do you fish?
Wareagle, welcome to the B.O.C. I live in Arkansas now but liven in Louisiana most of my life. :D

Found this site by accident and glad I did. Here in St. Francisville, LA we fish the Mississippi River year round and so far this spring we've been knocking 'em out. Fishing in one particular hole about 80 feet deep has produced well over 300 blue cats during the last 7 trips anywhere from 1 to 20+ pounds using worms and river shrimp. River shrimp is what they prefer but now I'm down to my last 2 packs. Won't put out my shrimp traps until late April if the rivers up high enough. Sure wish my younger son were still home to clean them for me, but I'm lucky enough to have an old partner who'll clean on halfs. Good luck, fellows!!!
Ed, I have some family in St Francisville. Also some family in Zachary and Baton Rouge. Maybe one day we can hook up and go after 'em. Welcome to the BOC. There are some fantastic people here!
Where do you launch in St Francisville? At the ferry landing or somewhere else? Ever fish Bayou Sarah? Bayou Sarah runs the property line of my Grandfather's place. I would move down there in a heartbeat! Just have to find the right job...
