would this be a bad time of year to set a few bank lines along the kaw? i'm trying to find somthing to do on my christmas vacation and i can't help but dream of fishin. or maybe just rod and reel fishing?

I don't see why not. I used to fish that section of the river a bunch. This time of year You'll need to look for some deep water to set them in.

finding deep holes off the bank would be key this time of year, but it would be a good bet for big dam fish in a wintering hole

thanks for the info on that i saw that they were working there and i got worried. because i have had good luck fishin down there the next nice half nice day iam going to hit it .

hey i used to do some winter fishing on the kaw and didnt do bad but iv not done to well in ottawa but i found a promising hole today on the marides ceyne with some good depth on abend in the river

Jeremy , which hole are you talking about in Ottawa ? I fish down there alot , with not alot of luck.
