Favorite fish for eating

I like channel cats the most but I won't let any get away till I'm full! LOL

the only catfish i eat up here is from a resturant ...

the 2 channels i got this summer will be the first from a farm pondbut i havent eaten them yet

It's hard to beat walleye , but crappie comes close! I've ate more than my fair share of catfish. Grampa was a commercial fisherman, so we never wanted for fresh fish.

dead ones that have been cooked......in all seriousness, i like all cats - i do believe it helps to bleed them (cut off the tail first) and clean them...i have found that fish that don't get cleaned soon seem to have a gamey taste

Walleye, channel cats and bluegill. I've never tried crappie though I'd like to. I'd have to catch ones big enough first, and therein lies my problem LOL.

You'll love this one.... Buffalo if it's cooked right, flathead and blue if they are cleaned right. I've seen people ruin a good blue by not cutting out the dark meat.

Walleye is definatly a great fish to eat. Grandpa used to go up to Lake Erie on trips and bring a ton back for a cookout every year. I like Ocean Pearch as well, great for fish frys. That is what they use around here for local fish frys.

Flathead Is by far the best eatin' Because theres a lot of meat on them and all of the meat is white meat. Because all they eat is live bait unlike channels who eat dip bait and all of that other crap off of the bottom. Although channels are my second favorite fish to eat. They are good to as long as you eat the white meat only. They are not quite as good as flatheads though. Just my oppinion

Sturgeon is one of the best tasting fish I have eaten then, in my opinion, a flathead about 2 pounds is hard to beat!..unless it is followed by homemade hushpuppies! :cool:

Saltwater- snapper, grouper, flounder, whiting, all the saltwater fish are good.

Crappie first and then small flatheads. Normally I like channel cats but some of them from this lake taste terrible. Anymore I release the channels... no problem for I don't catch many. :D

All I eat out of fresh water is cats. Crappie when they are runnin. I eat more saltwater fish than fresh. Grouper, bull dolfin,and halibut are the fish of choice.

generally i prefer a pan sized channel cat, but when me n the wife are campin,we like to catch a dozen or so 2-3 inch perch (sunfish), scale em, head n gut em, salt n pepper em, roll em in corn meal n fry em whole in hot hot grease. most of the bones can be crunched up when that small. also, Its hard to beat a saltwater fish called croaker.

I like minnows because I don't have to clean or cook them and they go crunch in my mouth. I like the way they wiggle on my tongue, it kind of tickles the roof of my mouth. You don't even have to chew them, you can just let them swim down your throat. The fresher the better. Don't eat the dead ones, they taste kind of yucky and make your breath smell bad.

yellow perch(lake Michigan Jumbo lake perch),crappie, Bullhead, walleye.....I also love smelt and 4-5inch bluegill fried hard(eaten whole!!)
