This Forum is a little bit dead. (I know i'm not the only one fishing) I thaught I would post and see if I can revive it.
The bite was a little slower this week but dad got this 16 Lber and Anna got a 9 lber. Last weekend 11/11 anna got this 27 Lb Blue, I got this 24 Lb Flattie. We released these and still caught a dozen nice eaters in the 3 to 7 Lb range each day. We fish from about 11:00 till 4:00. Plenty of shad but they are small 2 1/2 to 3"

Charlie. what river are you fishing and where is that dam you are at? what bait were you using?

We are below the dam(L&D-12) at Ozark. using fresh shad. There's a lot of them but they are small. about 3" Wish I could find some bigger ones or skippies.

I've done pretty well here in FL this last week, I still have to post the pics. The bites were all very light, including the 2 bigger ones i got.

Are you cutting the shad, or using them whole ?

Hey Charlie those are some dandy fish. Sounds like ya'll had a blast. Were they letting some water through while you were fishing? I've been noticing that we have had some for the past few days. Thanks for sharing your trip with us.
