Howdy
I'm new here.
love this place. Lots of info on the kind of stuff I'm wondering about.
I'm from Mt Pleasant. I fish the Skunk mostly but occasionally get over to the Mississippi and Iowa.
Just getting back into fishing after about 8 years of never even wetting the boat.I have some arthritis problems and pull starting the old evinrude was not fun.
I just replaced the old motor with an even older one that has steering and electric start. Gotta start somewhere.
Anyway I'm glad I found this place.

Hey Bob...
I used to fish the Skunk over by Coppock, especially on weekends and holidays. Yanked a lot of channels out of there. That was 100 years ago:big_smile:

Welcome to the BOC Bob. I just live south of you about 35 miles,in Montrose,Iowa. We used to live in Mt.Pleasant back in the late 60's & early 70's. I worked at the Post Office up there. I also just got back into fishing after being away from it for 20 some years. Was in the Air Force and just never had the time to do it. Started again last summer and now have jumped in with both feet. Hated bank fishing as I live in Davenport so this fall bought a boat that now sets shrink wrapped at the dealer till spring. Its never even been wet yet. Is is spring yet????
