Anyone know of hidden lakes or ponds near south Rockdale County that are open to the public or owner will give permission to fish?

We found a lake in Conyers today off sigman road riding four wheelers. Found it in the woods. I don't know if there are any fish in it but is only about 2 acres big. Might be worth a try. If you are coming up 138 from 20 turn left on Sigman. Bout a quarter mile there will be a big dirt field on your right. Pull in the dirt and there will be a mud trail for trucks on the right. Lakes back there.

I don't know if you've heard of these but I believe Black Shoals and Lake Varner should be near where you are. I've heard of some decent cats coming out of Black Shoals.

Yes, Black Shoals is in the county but it seems to have limited bank fishing space.

No boat yet? Look at garage sales. I got a 14 foot v-hull aluminum boat at a garage sale with a trailer, rod holders, and trolling motor for under $500. Not a bad investment at all. It even made fishing excursions more fun for the little lady. Worth every penny.

Of course, boats are always money pits. But.......worth every penny.

Yes I have a boat. I just like bank fishing.
