Well conditions to me couldnt get much better. 35 degrees with minimal wind, nice and dark with a little fog mixed in, my kind of hunting weather.
 Today was the first day of the early muzzleloader season and my first real chance to hunt. Sat in the same stand till 10:30 without seeing a thing, I was hearing them in the brush on the next ridge over but none would show. At about 10:30 I decide to try a stalk. As soon as I reached the other ridge I used a doe grunt and seen a flash of leg!!! I sneak within about 30 yards of where I seen the leg and use the call again. A nice mature doe almost immediately sticks her head out to see who's calling. As soon as she does I take her. Instant kill with a head shot. MMMMM MMMMMM deer jerky, steak and stew here I come.

Good job Brian. I always enjoy the season better after I get that first one under my belt. It seems to take some of the pressure off or something. Now go get some more.
