 Well the day is finally here. The boat is rebuilt. The engine is back together so here I go. I’m heading out to Cuba Landing (TN River on I40) for the test Saturday. I did all the work myself so if it flies apart:sad2: ...then I am to blame. So wish me luck! If all goes well fishing season is just starting!:cool2:

Craig when you repair or build something yourself it is a special reward. Have a great trip and don't forget the lifejackets

:smile2: Well you all must have been thinking about me because it went just fine. The engine started and never died, sputtered or anything fowl. Ran through six gal of gas and had a bunch of fun. Only report is I think the trim switch in the handle is worn, the down went out, but I all ready had the trim set so that was ok. And the little plastic roller on the throttle broke. I guess these things happen on a 20 yr old boat and engine. See ya later.

Craig

Glad to hear you only had some minor issues. Heck, it ain't boating if you don't have at least something always needing to be done to it.

Craig I am glad it went well for you and from the time and the way you went Thur that motor there was no reason it shouldn't have went well. You do good work and you are right about the trim switch they do go bad real often and especially if they are left in the weather.

The plastic roller can still be had from a local dealer or on line.
