Fishing @ laughlin?

Hello, I will be visiting Laughlin for a concert this weekend. I asked the staff at the hotel about any nearby fishing spots since the Hotel is riverside, and I was told there was a peer along the boardwalk. I have never been to Laughlin and would like to have a day of fishing and don't know what to expect.Any advice will be appreciated.Thanks, James.

Hey I grew up there and I went fishing all the time. The catfish and striper fishing is incredible. Just used some anchovies and a real heavy sinker. I remember the current being srong. Good luck and let me know how you make out.

One more question, I am assuming where I am staying is a strip similiar to Vegas. Is there access to the river within walking distance from the hotel areas. Thanks, James.
