cats have been slow. but i heard about a bait called melt. any one
know anything?

beef melt maybe?if so its a form of blood bait

I got together with a few BOC members and this is the best advice fishing advice that I can think of.

Use bait that is in the river or pond. FOr example, when fishing the Kansas use some bluegill or sunfish etc... YOU will never see bloodbait or liver swimming around in the river.

Hi Ben , Beef melt is the spleen of a cow. its red and sorta stringy. Myself being a butcher I Know that to be correct, now as far as being a good catfish bait it shure isen't one of the top ones. but on a given day it could work. as just mentioned above your best bet is to use a bait that the fish are a custom to.
