Any decent places in Iowa

actually going to get a chance to deer hunt this year and was wondering if there was any places i eastern Iowa (im in clinton) that were decent for deer. im tired of using my trucks to get them, its expensive.

According to the DNR page there are some public lands south of dewitt. You can go to there site at http://www.iowadnr.com/wildlife/wmamaps/pubh2cd.html
for directions to public land. Havent hunted that area any so other than that I can't help.

i was at barber and the wapsi a couple weeks ago before i messed up my knee.
barber is pretty big, and over grown off the roads. as for the wapsi i havent been hunting there, just fishing. to tell the truth it doesnt look that big.
im going to have to go around when im working and see what i can find for land.

the wapsi his hitting really good right now if you go to anamosa there is a roller dam and if you get out on the wing dam and drop some liver on a hook the bites are automatic
