Catfish in the day or night.

I went fishing at flat rock damn friday night did great, went sunday during day and nothing then sunday night and caught 6 nice bull cats. I think night time is better. What do you think?

was you in a boat everytime? the water is cooler at night. so if your bank fishing your going to do better. but if you have a boat you can do good every time you go out. becouse you can fish deep where t5he water is cold. and welcome to the boc

I prefer fishing at night. The Flatheads seem to bite better once the sun goes down plus the boat traffic goes away.

I like night fishing because it is cooler, but however when you go out and find em no matter how big or small in the heat of the day, you feel a little bit of acomplishment, but then again you sweat like crazy. Peace.:cool2:

Seein how I target channels cause thats what my area provides. I have found that the only difference in day and nite fishin is the comfort level. LOL! Havein done some flathead fishin on road trips with experienced members on the board it seems that the flats are caught at nite. As far as blues are concerned it looks like both are comparable. Just ask DH and Whistler. LOL!

my best days out catfishing have been at day, my largest channel was at day but night time provides more reliable amounts of fish.

i get way more channels during the day
and few flats during the night. actually only a few channels during the night. i caught all my flatheads during the day! but im seriously TRYING!

Actually thats a good question... I seem to catch em in the day and maybe a little bigger ones at night, but I really don't see much difference. I'm sure though, that night is probably better because of the way they hunt and water temps and such. just my opinion though. :smile2:
