7/15 Personal Best 44lb Flathead Catfish Pics included.

Well...... I finally broke the 40lb barrier. Pulled an alnighter and Was fishing a local tournament on the Minnesota river with my fishing buddy gabe. We found a new spot that looked promising. We were using bullheads and large suckers. The monster hit about 10:15pm.

She came in at
44 inches in length
28 inches in Girth
44.02lbs in wieght

I heard my fishing rod make noises that I never heard before. I thought she was gonna break a couple times.
We also managed a large Snapping turtle in the wee hours of the morning thing seemed to go 15-20lbs.
Hope mine is the local tourny big fish. I'll let you know later on.

Fishin in a tourney this weekend in Taylors falls,might give the bullheads a try.
