How do gold coins work and how do u get them?

These coins are new (less then a week old). At first we were all confused as to what they were for. In fact it was fun just to throw them at people jut for the heck of it. Now the coins have a use to them and I suspect they will continue to find creative uses for them.

Hey, this post right here should be the post that gives me my 125th coin. And I know just where I am headed with them.

They just started this a few days ago.However many gold coins you have is how many times you've posted since it began.

You get 1 coin for every post you make. The Current contest costs 125 coins

Rules:
Don't Pad your Coins (Don't post stuff like 1, then 2, then 3, etc etc) and you gotta have an avatar. Other than that your good to go. When the Contest Ends (Paul Will Decide When), He will assign a number to every name that has signed up (without showing anyone).. He will then ask someone to pick a number between x and x, and that will be the winner..
You can enter as many times as you want, as long as you have the coins to do it.

The coin deal just started and the scale contest is the first one using it. I believe it is a trial run on some of the features they want to incorporate into the site.

Daryl,as far as I know the coin is not to take the place of the reps.The coins will be used to enter certain contest such as the scale give a way they are having now...
