How many of you would like to do an all nighter on July 8th, 2006 out of Henderson boat ramp ? We would all meet there at 6PM and fish all night here on the river, we could try to get as many members here that live close by or who would like to fish together.

6:00PM at Henderson Boat Ramp, Down town.

Fish as long as you want too or all night.

If you guys are up to it we could hit the beach below Henderson at a certain time during the night and cook something for everyone and do some BSing. Give it some thought and if you would like to do this post here and I will make a list.

The park is located on US 41 in the northern outskirts of Henderson. It is 1/2 mile south of the US 41 bridge over the Ohio River and Evansville IN. The park is on the left heading south and the right heading north.

Directions from Louisville are:
Take I-64 to Evansville, Ind
Then I-164 to US-41 south to Henderson, KY
Once in Hendreson
Take US-60 West, Go to the third red light and turn Right on Second street
Follow Second Street to the river(Three Blocks)

Man I wish I could make it, I've already comitted to go trout fishing with my dad at the Cumberland River at Helms Landing. We do it a couple times a year. At least I've never been SKUNKED there like I was today on the Green! I look foreward to meeting you guys though, and I'm sure I will one of these days. Good luck to all.

is there any where around close to pitch a tent. dont realy like doing the motel thing while going fishing. i can leave friday after work, if yall will have a old wv ian over for an allnighter. think its around 7.5 hr drive but id love to come. might even have figured out if this little 4 cylinder mazda will pull my boat, if it will i can bring it to. any one have any thoughts on wheather i should put money into having a trailer hitch put on this thing or not.

bigfish what kind of boat do you have and do you know what it weighs, there is a camp ground right here in Henderson I can give you the details here after bit. but in order to answer your question about your boat let me know what you got !

the tag on the back is almost unreadable. but i do know its a sears 16' jon boat with 1/2 plywood on the floor, 3/4 ply on the front deck, one big battery, and a twenty hp merc on the back. i can pick up the tounge and move it around fairly easy, so i know it can pull it on highway just not sure about getting it in and out of the water. it is a 4 cylinder front wheel drive mazda 626.

Yeah I don't see any problem with it pulling it, this ramp is cement ramp and you will not have a problem coming in or out of the water.

One thing we are going to need to do is get you guys coming here a launch permit, there $10.00 for a entire year, there is no one day launch permit. Please let me know guys and I will pick them up.

Here are some maps to help you find your way here.
From Louisville:
I-64 to exit 29, to I-164 go to US-41 south, to Henderson, once in Henderson take the Pennyryle PKWY(US-41 south) to exit 79, turn right and stay on it till you hit the river.

From St. Louis:
Same as above.

From Madisonville and Hopkinsville:
Follow The pennyryle PKWY(US-41 north) To Henderson to exit 79, turn right and follow it till you hit the river

There are other ramps on the Evansville side upstream a little bit. One is downtown evansville which is free but only around 15 spots, the other is Dogtown boatramp and it is 5 dollars and Angel mounds which is about 20 miles and it is 5 dollars also.

Is there anyone else that would like to do a night fishing here on the River, Just think its not every day that you get to fish beside (Mean Gene the Fishing Machine ) and ( Flathead Harry NetmanJack from the Sugar shack). these two gentlemen will be traveling over 7 hours to be here along with Big Fish coming out of wild wonderful West by gosh Virginia.

We will spend the biggest part of the time fishing the Ohio River, and then about 2-3 Am if you guys want to we can hit the beach down river from Henderson and start a fire and cook a few things to eat and get to BS a little with everyone and then hit the water for the last big fish before sun up. here it gets daylight about 5:10 AM right now. Don't forget guys coming from the east we are 1 hour behind you guys.

On my trip to KY, I am going to do some field testing of a couple of products on the river that I cannot do at home. I don't have ant rivers where catfish can be readily caught without driving about 4 hours to do it. So DH and I will be doing some testing on the Ohio and Green Rivers while I am there. Jugs and Bobbers mainly. I am bringing with me a "Secret Product" I was asked to make by a KY BOC Brother. This will be a covert operation conducted in a secret spot to verify that this product is as GREAT os the BOC Brother thinks it is. We will give you all a heads up after the weekend with Pics and all and will let you know who this inventive BOC Brother is. It may or may not shock you who it is. As we have some very inventive People here.

I had the very distinct honor of fishing with Ol JW, and he didnt show me his pink tutu. I feel like he doesnt like me. LMAO. Guess it takes two trips to see the tutu. I am severely bummed out that I cant make it to Henderson to fish this all nighter. I have to fly. Geez, I wish it could be a different day. As much as I'd like to come down Friday, I've had some serious misfortune with my employment situation and won't even get home from work Friday until 6:30 'ish. My wife works at the Kentucky Speedway and they have a race that Saturday. So right now I have to stay home with my daughter. But I'm working on a sitter so I can go.

Guys from what I am looking at there is more people then boats here the only thing we can do if you don't want to run out and buy a brand new boat today (lol) is take any of you shuttle you down to a good bank fishing location near our fishing location and make this the main place for the meeting place later on, so its up to you guys let me know and I am sure before we load everyone up we can get everyone in boats and drop some people off fishing .

Here is the boat set up so far:

1.D/H, Akwolf, Netmanjack.

2.Stoney, Flatasursus_Rex, Bubba (stoneys son).

3.Dreadnaught, Wife, Son. ( Not sure if family is going )

4.ka_c4_boom ( Can take at least 2 or maybe 3 with him )

5.BigFish ( Not sure on his boat )

6.Whistler, Bob, Chuck

7.Stephens, slimcat


This boat set up may change on Whistler and may change on Dreadnaught we are still waiting on final word with a few of them but this gives you a idea where we are set up at right now.

Ka_c4-boom said in a post earlyer that he could take maybe 2-3 with him and Bigfish not sure if anyone is coming with him.

i am bringing my boat but, i am also wanting to be able to locate a decent spot for some decent sized blues. blue fishing is new to me and i dont know a whole lot about finding them. i guess i did forget an update on my little car pulling my boat, it did fine. i do hope i can get a campsite friday night around 7pm to 8pm. couldnt reserve one cause i dont have a credit card. and i am hoping dh is close by so maybe i can get that boat launch permit a little early if possibel, if not thats ok to, i dont want to be a bother. cant wait [two more days of work]. not sure if any one will want to fish outa this old thing, but i think i can hold 2 more people if need be. i almost forgot a ? am i allowed to kill the bunny in his own state or am i only allowed to count fish caught in wv?
