Salt River

Took a float trip down the Salt River this past weekend. The channels were very hungry, we caught a lot of good eaters. The morning bite was by far the best.The hardest part was finding a good spot to make camp, as the banks were pretty steep for a long way down.

What part of the salt river were you fishing in?

We put in at Taylorsville and floated down below the Bardstown Rd bridge. All the fish were caught at the first bend past the bridge.

is there any place around the bardtown rd bridge to throw in a little john boat

Not too many places to put in the River above the bridge. I have never been too far below it but have been told the next possible way in or out would be around Shepardsville.
