Preserving velvet

Killed a little buck in full velvet this weekend. Wondering if anyone knows how I would go about preserving the velvet. I know I can dip them in formaldahyde but I'm not sure where to buy any. Anyone know where I can get some?

Taxidermists freeze dry it on. i have a caribou that was done to.

check out van dyke's taxidermey catalog. they have stuff specially formulated for that purpose. I think you inject it with a syringe. they are on the web.
