Fishing the kaskaskia river in vandalia Ill need info as where to fish?

I was just wondering if anyone has fished the kaskaskia river near vandalia , never fished there going there sunday 6-10 06 :confused2: for those nice channells or flats, and what luck have anyone had thanks....

look for some wood cover with current in or near several feet of water,,,

I cant name any specific spots, i fished near Shelbyville back in the day and near Ramsey. good stretch of river between Shelbyville and Van...

I grew up in Vandalia, always seemed to be kind of a slow fishing river to me. But it was better than Vandalia Lake

Well to be honest with you, clintonlake guy, I was not able to make that trip but am ready to see what happens this father"s day maybe I can get a little bit lucky and catch a few of those nice cat"s, am just wondering is there, some nice holes along that river,am coming from north county in st. louis...
