Kentucky lake

Has anyone fished below the spillway at KY lake in the last week or so? My most productive time has always been in late july and august. What about you all? Anyone ever fish down river from the spillway and have success w/ bigger cats? It seems like most the cats at the spillway are relatively smaller.

Lawdog, I fished KY lake last week. First I fished the tailwaters catching a blue around six or seven pounds. Then I drift fished the lake and caught two channels around eight pounds and another blue around five pounds, that I caught anchored. The small skipjacks are burning up the sabiki rigs on the points and around the dock at the KY dam village marina. Good luck. Vern
