Houghton Lake Trip 6-16-06

OK, lets start layin the tracks to get this train a running!

I will be up in Cadillac of course, but will check email nightly. Ill get up there on Sunday the 11th and will be spending the week yanking fish out of the lake one after another... or thats my story and Im sticking to it. heh heh

ANYHOW, Who is gonna be on my boat on Friday the 16th evening? Don? Vic? Sparky said he'd be home that weekend, so I guess that leaves you two. Are you still on for it?

OK, so once we establish that, I need to know where you fellas are going to be staying at.

Once that is set up, I want to know if youre staying on Saturday night too... so I know wether Im going back to Houghton to escort you two fine gents out on a day-2 or wether Ill be on Cadillca/Mitchell again.

ALSO- If you wish to and if the fishing on houghton turns out to be horrendous, we can go to caddy and mitchell for day 2 and slam out some pike and walleye and gill fishing there. That is my favorite lake for gills and pike lately. We can really rip em up if the weather cooperates. I am not advocating it in any way, just giving options.

SO Lets get the dialogue running for this trip ON THIS PAGE so I know where to look when Im out of town. Im way too excited anyhow to not talk about this. From this point on, that is the #1 thing on my mind.

Well, it goes without saying that I'm definitely up for the night excursion on the 16th providing that we plan on fishing all night...that would be sunset to sunrise...as far as accomodations there are the two campgrounds if we plan to stay through the next day.

To be honest, I really am excited about the night fishing prospects there, so I am down for the 16th at least...

What time are you looking to be on the water on Friday?

I do plan on spending the night out there on the water. If the lake is too choppy or we get a big storm of course that changes things up a bit. But as for any other weather, Ill be ready and willing to take it on. Just like the trip on the k-zoo that sparky and jross and I went on: so long as we have stuff to drink and enough cigarettes, I will be a happy guy.

I can be out there whenever you want, man... Im on vacation! If you want to meet me at the east ramp over by Prudenville at 6am on friday morning, IM DOWN FOR IT! That is for you fellas to decide. I will just BE THERE.

I likely will not get a camp space for myself. I dont really want to drag all of my camp gear all the way up there, to be honest. As heavy of a boat as it is for that truck, I need to keep my rig light as possible. Need be, Ill zonk out in my truck and flip someone a few bucks to park in their campsite... or just run to the inlaws and grab a meal and a warm bed there, seeing as how its 40 minutes away. Plus it will gimme a chance to raid the cookie jar for energy on day 2. heh heh :roll_eyes:
