the wife and I went out sunday morning nice day for fishing we caught 21 well she caught 20 lol I caught 1 ended up letting 5 go back right after we caught them went back in the water was 2 flatties about 8 to 10 pounds and three large channels from 4 to 8 pounds she was catching perch on cut shade we fished all year last year with cut shad and never caught on pearch this was her first fishin trip on the river and she had a blast

yep had a good time went out today with spoticus and His boy had a good time caught a big spoonbill in the shad net and then went snagging caught some of them asian carp those things are funnnnn I will try to upload some pics

Looks like you had a blast dave. are the rollers opened up down there also? the water looks kinda calm compared to where the damn is up here in muscatine.. we went out sat also didn't take the cam but managed to boat a half dozen.

if you got an illinois license, you can fish the mississippi if illinois borders it..

this weekend was absolutely very fun. caught in 5 hours saturday 59 channels and sunday in a bout 4 hours, 29.. was very fast action.. nothing big , a few 3# fish, but on average about a pound..... lets just say an idiot from shore could have caught fish this weekend. ( i was in the boundary waters all last week chasing smallies and a few walleys, but had more fun slammin these catfish right here!
