i was just wondering but has anyone ever found these here in pa? the only time i ever heard of them was on this site but i have seen the trees they r found on. so dose anyone find them here? if so what time of year and where on the tree is the best spot to look

They are found on the leaves of the trees in the summer.They are found in size from eggs to near 3 inches max.They eat the leaves.When they mature,they crawl to soft,loamy soil,dig in,and turn into a pupa,which turns into a butterfly,which lays the eggs.They will also leave the tree,when all the leaves are eaten.peewee-williams.
