I was young,must have been around 11 or 12 years old. Pap-Paw and I decided to put out a few limb lines on a river in Louisiana called Beouf River. We baited our lines with a few worms and cut blue gills. Being new at this type of fishing I did not know what to expect. We ran our limb lines all that day without any luck. Pap-Paw told me to wait till morning, our luck should change. I jumped out of bed the next morning ready to go. As we checked our lines, we had a few nice eaters. All of a sudden we came upon a line that had the whole limb in the water. I said Pap-paw what is on that line. He just grinned and said catfish. We pulled out a 30 pound blue, barely hooked. Made my day.
