Crazy night

Hit up the river tonight with raw shrimp. I grabbed a needle and injected one with vanilla extract and covered the other in garlic.

Garlic had only a few hits all night.

The vanilla injected ones though, WOW the cat went crazy! I was unable to hook any though, but the bites were hard and didn't stop. Gonna get back out there in the AM if it doesn't rain to much. I have never had a bait work so well!

Never tried either garlic or vanilla before, but maybe I'll have to try.

where are you fishing Bill? do you need company.. LOL i haven't had any luck yet. coarse i've only been out a few times so far this year. went to the miss in muscatine pool didn't catch anything but a perch (sheephead) the water temp was about 70* acording to my depth finder. the cedar is looking purty good and only 4 miles from my home.. anyways sounds like you had a good time..
