I am leaving for Truman Lake this friday and will be fishing in the sparrowfoot area. Just wondering what the Catfish were biting on? And possibly the depth you have been fishing? I have never been to truman before just looking for some tips....

Hey Brad; Welcome to the BOC. As far as bait go's SHAD, SHAD, SHAD... Try shad sides and heads both in 20' of water or less.

Good Luck....Steve

Hotdogs and lil smokies are some of the best bait I've ever used.

Good luck on your trip to Truman Brad.

Sparrowfoot is really good flathead fishing along with bluecats. Shad and live bluegill/perch will be your best bet. If you have any current running from last nights rain I would go up river to the bridge area and fish it. Lots of timber on up from there and real good area.
