Channel Catfish close to spawn on Nimrod in Arkansas

The catfish are biting bluegills in the brush on limblines. After the spawn I can't wait , cause that's when we bait the stumps with sweet feed and tear them up on poles! For now anyone wanting to stock up on channels it's time for set lines. We are have'n a fish fry next weekend . So we put out 110 limblines and baited out with bluegills. One night should be enough to catch all we need and then some !:big_smile:

We use hooks and line in an old minnow pond. The farmer killed it several years ago with chicken fertilizer and blue gills took it over . Lucky for us it was just left and we can catch all we like .
