anybody fishin the licking river and been doin any good lately? i've been trying places i know where there's huge fish but its like the fish just decided not to bite anymore...i've tried cut shad, live shad and the biggguns aint hittin and i even tried chicken livers and nightcrawlers and the littlins aint even hittin. how have you all in nky been doin?

ive caught a few channel cats up to 4 lbs. what part of ky do you live ?

northern part of kenton county. but i fish the licking as far down as falmouth

I like the Licking river but tend to fish more in the Ohio.

I talked to some guys Sunday that said they caught some nice cats around the mouth back up to the 12th street bridge. They did not offer exactly where they caught fish, just said they caught a bunch in the 10-20 lb range using shad and skipjack.

We have a Licking river here in ohio to but the bite has been decent i caught several channels two weeks ago:cool2:

I live in Cynthiana & havent fished the Licking this year. However Ive been hearing they are biting below the Falmouth dam on soft craws. A few of my friends canoed for 3 days on the the Licking above falmout & caught several channels on Jack Uglys (AKA Helgramites)
