Anyone ever fish with skip jack for bait?? How good did they do?

Tim, skipjack make excellent bait whole or cut. Fresh is alot better than frozen though. Also, I find that the smaller ones 8 inches and under are better whole, the large ones are best cut. The gutpocket and head are the two best pieces when using as cutbait. Vern

Hey Tim, they're probably one of the best baits you can use. I use them on the Ohio river. Would give my left nut for some big ones.Good luck.
