Need some advice

I know a co-worker who has a boat for sell , it is a 17' jon with trailer and has a 25 horse mecury,the motor is 5-yr's old. The boat has a couple of dents but dosen't leak he is asking $2,000.... what do you think???

I think we'd need more information. Like what year is the boat, what make? Does it have a wide beam. What guage aluminium. Come with a good trailer? Tires, lights...anchors...For just a boat and motor, it is probably pushing the envelope. The motor would almost, almost cost that outright... But, what does your gut tell you...thats' what's important.
