Any one know where to catch bullhead catfish around zanesville Ohio

James I just had this conversation with the Maddcatter twenty minutes ago. I've been looking for a reliable source for bullheads for years now. I can't seem to locate any so I gave up and just use baby channel cats. I think my biggest flatty on one was 25 lbs. They make a good substitute. If you do hear of any ponds with tons of small bullheads let me know would ya.

if i find any skip i will let you know the bait shop on pine st has them for a buck a piece but i hate to buy bait

For what its worth:

When needing bait Bullheads is the one time I will set bank lines. For me the small Channels SEEM to dance around even more than the Bullheads when both are placed under a submerged bobber on you line and a tad of slack left in your line.

Any time I've set banklines I always seem to catch big channels or goliath bullheads. What do you bait up with for the 8 to 10 inchers? Worms might be best I suppose. Cut bait only catches big ones.LOL
